This MSc Project Management is designed to provide an integrated, coherent, stimulating and challenging programme of study in the theory, concepts, methods, tools and techniques of project management. The MSc in Project Management course is a 12 month programme starting in September, comprising seven taught modules and dissertation. During semester 1 (September to January) students take four core modules. During semester 2 (January to May) students take three core modules. From the end of May to September, students undertake either a dissertation or internship, which is often industrially based. During your studies you will be able to gain PRINCE2 qualifications and build the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to become an independent learner.
Modules are examined via a variety of coursework tasks including: reports, online tests, group presentations and individual presentations/discussions. At various points in the programme you will undertake tests using the Classroom Performance System. This will test your knowledge and understanding and provide instant feedback on progress to date. Dissertation assessment is based largely on presentations, solo work and substantial final report.
